Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
eJukebox is run by Musicbot Pty Ltd (ABN 44 163 918 054) of Ryde, NSW (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information, and how you can access it or make a complaint. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can read the APPs on the website of the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.
What we collect
We only collect the personal information we need to provide and improve eJukebox, and to talk to you about it.
- When you contact us - through the contact form, by email or by phone - we collect your name, contact details, your venue’s details and what you tell us.
- When you start a free streaming trial we collect your name, email address and Australian mobile number, and send your private stream link to that number by SMS.
- When you are an eJukebox customer we collect the details we need to set up, support and bill your service, such as contact names, the venue’s address and account details.
- When you use eJukebox in a venue - requesting a song, recording a voice dedication or sending a photo to a venue’s screen - we process what you send so the feature works. Dedications are transcribed and checked for bad language before they play, and photos are screened before they appear.
- When you visit this website our pages load fonts and tools from third-party services, and we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. These services may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details, and LinkedIn may set cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings.
Our apps - eJukebox Request, eJukebox Admin and eJukebox Music - have their own privacy policy at auth.ejukebox.net/privacy.html.
Why we use it
We use personal information to provide, support and improve our services, to reply to enquiries, to run free trials, to bill customers, and to send you information about eJukebox where you would reasonably expect it. You can opt out of marketing at any time by telling us. We do not sell personal information.
Sensitive information
We do not set out to collect sensitive information, such as health information or information about racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs or political opinions. If we ever need to, we will only collect it with your consent or where the law requires or allows it.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where we need to, for example with:
- service providers who help us run eJukebox, such as our cloud hosting, SMS and email providers;
- OneMusic Australia, where a venue has asked us to collect and pay its licence fee on its behalf;
- anyone you have asked us to share it with; and
- where the law requires or allows it.
Some of our service providers, such as our website host and analytics providers, store information outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it.
How we protect it
We store personal information securely and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it, unless the law requires us to keep it - for example, business and financial records we must keep for seven years.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm your identity first. We do not charge for a request, but may charge a reasonable fee for providing copies. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why.
Questions and complaints
For any question or complaint about privacy, contact us at info@ejukebox.com.au. We will look into it and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
