How the eJukebox jukebox works in your venue
eJukebox is a managed music system: a compact player at your venue (or a private stream on Solo), run by your staff from their phones, with customers requesting songs from theirs. No jukebox cabinet required.
- Digital jukebox - set it and forget it, no DJ needed.
- Song requests - customers request songs from their phone, by QR code or the eJukebox Request app.
- eJukebox Admin app - skip, hold and reorder requests, and switch channels from behind the bar.
Music licensing for clubs & nightclubs
Australian venues need a OneMusic Australia licence to play recorded music in public, and that licence stays in your name. Because eJukebox is a commercial background music supplier, it changes what OneMusic charges you compared with a personal streaming account: shops and service businesses come off the top tier, and hospitality venues drop the Digital Copy and Delivery add-on. OneMusic sets and publishes its own fees, and for pubs and clubs we can collect and pay yours for you, at cost. Read more about music licensing for business →

Club and nightclub music questions, answered
Can the crowd request songs?
Yes, if you want them to. Guests scan a QR code and request from their phone or the free eJukebox Request app, and you keep final say - choose what can be requested, set per-person limits, and hold or remove anything.
Can we turn requests off for a DJ or a band?
Any time, and back on when they finish. Staff can also skip, hold or reorder songs and switch channels from the eJukebox Admin app on their own phones.
Can we talk over the music?
Yes. Live Microphone turns any staff phone into a PA mic and ducks the music the moment you speak, and Voice Dedications let guests record a shout-out that plays right before their song and blends into the intro.
Is the music licensed for a nightclub?
The music is licensed for business use, and with eJukebox there is no Digital Copy/Delivery fee on your OneMusic licence, as there would be with a personal streaming account. Your venue still holds its own OneMusic licence.
