How the eJukebox jukebox works in your venue
eJukebox is a managed music system: a compact player at your venue (or a private stream on Solo), run by your staff from their phones, with customers requesting songs from theirs. No jukebox cabinet required.
- Digital jukebox - set it and forget it, no DJ needed.
- Song requests - customers request songs from their phone, by QR code or the eJukebox Request app.
- eJukebox Admin app - skip, hold and reorder requests, and switch channels from behind the bar.
Music licensing for gyms & fitness studios
Australian venues need a OneMusic Australia licence to play recorded music in public, and that licence stays in your name. Because eJukebox is a commercial background music supplier, it changes what OneMusic charges you compared with a personal streaming account: shops and service businesses come off the top tier, and hospitality venues drop the Digital Copy and Delivery add-on. Gym music questions, answered
Can a gym use Spotify or Apple Music for background music?
No. Personal streaming apps like Spotify and Apple Music are licensed for personal use only, so they cannot be played in a gym. eJukebox is a commercial background music supplier, so the music is licensed for business use. Your gym still holds its own OneMusic licence, in your name.
Can the gym floor and a class studio play different music?
Yes. Core includes two zones, so the floor and a studio can each run their own channel, and one player drives up to four zones.
Will the energy suit early mornings and peak hour?
Yes. Dayparting moves the energy with the day automatically, from calmer early sessions to high-intensity peak hours, and every track is volume-levelled so nothing jumps out.
What happens if the internet drops mid-session?
On Core and Complete the music keeps playing. The on-site player carries your music on board and catches up when the connection is back.
Can we make announcements over the music?
Yes. Record your own announcements on Core, add Live Microphone to talk to the floor from any staff phone while the music ducks underneath you, or let Scheduled Announcements remind members about classes automatically.
