How the eJukebox jukebox works in your venue
eJukebox is a managed music system: a compact player at your venue (or a private stream on Solo), run by your staff from their phones, with customers requesting songs from theirs. No jukebox cabinet required.
- Digital jukebox - set it and forget it, no DJ needed.
- Song requests - customers request songs from their phone, by QR code or the eJukebox Request app.
- eJukebox Admin app - skip, hold and reorder requests, and switch channels from behind the bar.
Music licensing for restaurants
Australian venues need a OneMusic Australia licence to play recorded music in public, and that licence stays in your name. Because eJukebox is a commercial background music supplier, it changes what OneMusic charges you compared with a personal streaming account: shops and service businesses come off the top tier, and hospitality venues drop the Digital Copy and Delivery add-on. Can the music change between lunch and dinner service?
Yes. Schedule the mood to change on its own across lunch, afternoon and dinner, so the room is relaxed at midday and livelier at night without anyone touching it.
Will the music get in the way of conversation?
It should not. Every track is professionally processed for consistent volume, so nothing jumps out between songs, and the channels are curated to sit under a dining room rather than over it.
Can we keep song requests switched off?
Yes. Requests are entirely your choice - run music only, and switch requests on for a function or a private booking if you like.
Do restaurants need a music licence?
Yes. Your restaurant holds its own OneMusic licence, whoever supplies the music. With eJukebox there is no Digital Copy/Delivery fee on it, as there would be with a personal streaming account. How music licensing works.
