Music Channels Programmed by People, Not an Algorithm
Every eJukebox channel is built by Australian music directors from commercial radio and refreshed every fortnight. It is programmed for a room full of people, not one person's listening history. It changes through the day on its own, and it never swears or plays an ad.
- Hits, Smooth, Rock and Country, plus an Irish channel
- Refreshed every fortnight from Sydney commercial radio
- No ads, no talk and no explicit lyrics

A minute on how the channels are built, and how they carry a room from a quiet lunch to a loud Saturday night.
Built like a radio station, not shuffled like a playlist
Chosen by people
Australian music directors
Music directors from commercial radio choose every song and how often it comes round, the way a radio station programs a shift. An algorithm optimises for one listener. A music director has stood in a full bar at nine o'clock on a Friday.
Kept current
Refreshed every fortnight
Every two weeks the channels are refreshed using logged Sydney commercial radio rotations, so what plays in your venue tracks what your customers hear on the radio, and the room never gets stuck on the same fifty songs.
Right for the hour
Dayparting built in
Lighter mornings, upbeat nights and separate weekend modes. The channel can change on its own as the day goes on, so nobody behind the bar has to think about the music.
One venue, four moods, and nobody touching a thing

- LunchSmoothEasy listening while people eat and talk.
- AfternoonCountrySomething warmer through the quiet hours.
- Knock-offHitsThe room fills up and the energy lifts.
- Saturday nightRockThe front bar at its loudest.
It just plays. Nothing jumps, nothing interrupts.
Every track at the same level. Levels are matched track to track in the library itself, and every song runs through broadcast-grade multiband processing, the same class of processing FM radio stations use. A quiet ballad and a loud rock track land at the same level, so staff set the volume once and leave it.
Song to song, like radio. Tracks flow into each other whether they fade out or end cold. No gaps and no dead air.
No ads, no idents, no talk. Nothing plays between songs unless you put it there yourself, like your own announcements.
Play it out loud without looking over your shoulder
Clean by default. Every channel is screened for explicit content - no swearing and no explicit lyrics - so the music is as right for a bistro at six as it is for a full bar at eleven.
Licensed for the room. eJukebox is a commercial background music supplier, licensed to supply the same music to many businesses. A personal streaming account is licensed for one person's listening, and its own terms rule out playing it in a business.
Your OneMusic licence is still yours. Every venue needs its own OneMusic licence, whoever supplies the music. Being on a commercial supplier is what changes what OneMusic charges you. How music licensing works →
Change the channel from your pocket
Switch channels, skip a song or schedule the day's channels from the eJukebox Admin app. Turn the automatic changes off for a band or the speeches, and back on when they finish.
Hear it before you decide. Hits and Country are streaming live on our demo streams page right now. Or put any channel in your venue free for seven days - a private link by SMS, no credit card and nothing to install.

What venues ask about the music
Who programs the eJukebox channels?
Australian music directors from commercial radio. Every channel is hand-built by people, never shuffled by an algorithm, and refreshed every fortnight using logged Sydney commercial radio rotations, so what plays in your venue tracks what your customers already hear on the radio.
Which channels can we choose from?
Four core channels: Hits (pop, Top 40 and chart toppers), Smooth (easy listening from the 1960s to today), Rock (classics and modern favourites) and Country (classics and new hits). There is also a dedicated Irish channel, a St Patrick's Day channel every March, and custom branded stations for venue groups and retail chains.
Does the music change through the day?
Yes. Dayparting is built in - lighter mornings, upbeat nights and separate weekend modes - and the channel can change on its own as the day goes on, so a quiet lunch, a Friday knock-off and a Saturday night each get the right music. Staff can schedule the channels or override them any time from the eJukebox Admin app.
Will there be swearing or explicit lyrics?
No. Every channel is free of swearing and explicit lyrics, so the music is as right for a bistro at six as it is for a full bar at eleven.
Are there ads, announcers or talk between songs?
No. No ads, no station idents and no talk. Nothing plays between songs unless you put it there yourself, like your own announcements.
Why does it sound more even than a phone plugged into the amp?
Every track runs through broadcast-grade multiband processing, the same class of processing FM radio stations use, so a quiet ballad and a loud rock track land at the same level, and songs flow into each other without gaps. Staff set the volume once and leave it.
Can different areas play different channels?
Yes. Core and Complete include two zones, so the bistro and the bar can each run their own channel at the same time, and one player drives up to four. Zones three and four are $39 a month each ex GST. See plans & pricing.
Can we hear the channels before we sign up?
Yes. Hits and Country are streaming live on our demo streams page, and the free 7-day streaming trial puts any channel in your venue for a week, with no credit card. Start a free trial.
Do we still need a OneMusic licence?
Yes. Every venue needs its own OneMusic licence, whoever supplies the music. Being on a commercial background music supplier is what changes what OneMusic charges you. How music licensing works.
