How the eJukebox jukebox works in your venue
eJukebox is a managed music system: a compact player at your venue (or a private stream on Solo), run by your staff from their phones, with customers requesting songs from theirs. No jukebox cabinet required.
- Digital jukebox - set it and forget it, no DJ needed.
- Song requests - customers request songs from their phone, by QR code or the eJukebox Request app.
- eJukebox Admin app - skip, hold and reorder requests, and switch channels from behind the bar.
Music licensing for pubs & bars
Australian venues need a OneMusic Australia licence to play recorded music in public, and that licence stays in your name. Because eJukebox is a commercial background music supplier, it changes what OneMusic charges you compared with a personal streaming account: shops and service businesses come off the top tier, and hospitality venues drop the Digital Copy and Delivery add-on. Do I need a music licence to play music in my pub?
Yes. Australian venues need a OneMusic Australia licence to play recorded music in public, and you hold that licence yourself. Because eJukebox is a commercial background music supplier there is no Digital Copy/Delivery fee on your licence, as there would be with a personal streaming account, and we can collect the fee and pay it to OneMusic for you, at cost.
Can customers really request songs?
Yes, interactive song requests are at the heart of eJukebox. Patrons request from their own phone and you keep full control over what actually plays.
How much does pub music cost?
Core, the hospitality base, is $169 a month ex GST, with two zones, song requests and an on-site player that keeps playing if the internet drops. The player is a one-off cost quoted for your venue, and extra zones are $39 a month each ex GST. See plans & pricing.
Do we need to buy or hire a jukebox?
No. There is no jukebox cabinet - a compact player connects to your existing amplifier and speakers, and patrons request from their own phones. Want a walk-up option too? Add the touchscreen request booth. How the digital jukebox works.
Can different bars play different music?
Yes. Core includes two zones - the front bar and the bistro, say - and one player drives up to four, so the beer garden and the gaming room can have their own channels too.
